Produced by the Community Foundation’s Spectrum staff, Bears at Home was a daily online video service released over the course of 17 weeks during the coronavirus lockdown.
The scheme aimed at maintaining relationships with the charity’s SEND (special educational needs and disabilities) pupils and their families and ensuring they stay active and engaged through the most challenging of times.
From dance sessions and story time, to Makaton lessons, staff at the Community Foundation delivered lessons every weekday at 11am, including throughout the school holidays.
And these life-changing sessions will now be available on the Bristol Sport Foundation mobile app, which aims to get families physically active by allowing them to access sessions on their phone or tablet.
