Celebration of Sport 2023

Bristol Sport Foundation’s annual Celebration of Sport event returned to Ashton Gate Stadium as hundreds of children made memories to last a lifetime.

The Foundation welcomed 21 schools to the home of Bristol City Football Club and Bristol Bears for a fun-filled sporting extravaganza on Thursday (May 4th).

More than 700 excited children had the opportunity to experience football, tag rugby, cricket, handball, jailbreak, gymnastics, basketball, netball, Kabaddi and dodgeball at seven stations around the stadium during an action-packed day in BS3.

The schools in attendance included Abbotswood, Ashley Down, Birdwell, Bowsland Green, Brunel Field, Cadbury Heath, Chew Stoke, Coniston, Holy Trinity, Little Stoke Northleaze, Oasis Long Cross, Oasis Connaught, Somerdale, Southville, St Joseph’s, St Peters, Walscourt Farm Academy, Wansdyke, Woodlands and Wick Primary School.
