What’s on in Term Five?

Term five of the school year is now upon us and we can’t wait to welcome you back, it promises to be an action packed term full of sporting fun. Let’s take a look at what activities we have coming up.

 

After School Clubs

Our After School Clubs are back for term five. Our After School Clubs focus on FUN and maximising the time that the children are active, together with small technical inputs from our passionate, experienced, and qualified coaches. We offer a variety of sports such as dodgeball, hockey, football, and netball plus lots more!

Community Badminton Clubs

After an extended period away, we are delighted to be able to restart our Community Badminton Clubs in line with government guidance.

 

These clubs are a great opportunity for children to practice and develop their badminton skills in a safe and fun environment. Children will be able to learn from our team of qualified and experienced badminton coaches who always put an emphasis on fun!

 

The sessions will be held every Monday evening at Thornbury Leisure Centre and every Friday evening at Sir Bernard Lovell School. Please click here to book your child’s place.

 

Netball Development Hub

Our Netball Development Hub is ideal for those that want to develop their netball skills with a view to taking the next step on the performance pathway.

 

The sessions, for school years 3-10, are held every Thursday evening at Coombe Dingle Sports Complex and hosted by our level 2 qualified netball coach, Beth Evans. Please click here to book your child’s place.

 

Basketball Hub

Our popular Bristol Flyers Basketball Hub is perfect for those that would like to develop their basketball skills and learn some top basketball tips, first-hand from Bristol Flyers first team player Josh Rogers, and our team of experienced and qualified coaches in a safe and fun environment.

 

The hub is held every Monday at Wellsway School for those in school years 3-10. Please click here to book your child’s place.

 

Basketball Centre

Delivered by our team of qualified basketball coaches, Bristol Flyers Basketball Centre focusses on developing basketball skills with the aim of preparing children for competitive matches.

 

These will be held on the outdoor courts at Abbeywood Community School every Saturday morning from April 10th to May 22nd for those in school years 1-11. Please click here to book your child’s place
